Amy Powell has been coaching and developing leaders for more than 20 years. Through her work as an executive coach, she has worked one-on-one with hundreds of general managers, executives and CEOs. She supports them in becoming more effective, authentic, impactful, and powerful.
In addition, Amy applies conscious principles to business culture change, and elevates them to an organization-wide level. These changes unleash energy, creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment, and result in tangible and measurable improvements.
After a misbegotten career start as an accountant in a giant multinational conglomerate, Amy realized that her talents lay elsewhere: her gift was bringing out the best in people. She worked in HR at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, then moved to Australia and joined Pricewaterhousecoopers where she was an Associate Director setting up the Organisational Development practice.
Amy launched Powell Human Resource Development in 1989, then transitioned to executive coaching in 1996, when she established Development Partners, one of Australia’s first executive coaching practices. Throughout, Amy has also worked in culture change, and is currently pioneering a process which creates culture change through coaching.
Amy has a BA in Communications, as well as an MBA, and is accredited in numerous instruments and tools, including the Barrett Culture Transformation Tools. She has undergone coach training and accreditation with Sir John Whitmore, and through the Institute of Executive Coaching.
As co-founder of Conscious Capitalism Australia, Amy works on voluntary basis to “Inspire Australian business to a purpose beyond profit.”
